Kettering Archers “Flight Shoot” Sunday 18th December 2011.

On Sunday 18th December the Kettering Archers held their annual “Flight Shoot ” at Kettering on what could only be described as a bitterly cold day. Several members of the NAC attended to take part and have a little fun, namely, Sarah S, Pam,Bez,Susan,Dan,Dave Q,Paul and Steve. The shoot had several different categories ie, Flatbow/Longbow, Recurve etc. There was also different categories depending on the weight of bows. Thinking they were only taking part for a bit of fun and not actually competing against each other, they were surprised to have ended the day with all but one of them being presented with medals. So congratulations must go to all who took part on the day for making themselves available  to once again represent the NAC.Well done.

Dave Quemby Passes Another Milestone!

On the 10th November 2011 our Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer attended the County Archery Association’s Annual General Meeting. It was during those proceedings that Dave Quemby (NAC) was recognized for his achievement of at least two (2), 1st Class scores and as such was awarded in his absence a “County Award” including a “Year Badge” for 2011.

Therefore during our normal shooting session at Moulton on the 12th November 2011, and in front of a good crowd of NAC archers, he was awarded this County Award by our Treasurer David Stevens.

It goes without saying that all NAC members congratulate Dave on his remarkable achievements (so far) throughout this season.

Well done Dave and lets see even more!!

David Quemby Continues Onwards and Upwards

David Quemby has continued to break and set new Compound club records. His latest achievements are a new Club Record for the Hereford Round in the Tri-Counties Match at Long Buckby on 2nd October achieving a score of 1206.

On 16th October at Kettering Archers in a Worcester Indoor Competition he set a new Club Record of 293 out of a possible 300, beating his previous club record of 274 set in January this year. This puts David well and truly up with the best of the County Archers. In his second attempt at the Worcester at Kettering, he scored a fantastic 298 – just 2 short of a perfect 300. Unfortunately he is unable to claim this as a record as it was his second shoot of the day. Well done David.
