Archery at Carlsberg this Tuesday, but back to Sywell on Saturday

We have visited Sywell today 14th May and are pleased to see vast improvements in the conditions. However ground around the container is still very hazardous and in parts under water. In the interests of safety it has therefore been decided – after due consultation – that Tuesdays archery will be at Carlsberg again.

Unless we have torrential rain this week – on Saturday we will be at Sywell.

Shooting Tuesday 8th May – at Carlsberg

Although there has been a slight improvement to conditions at Sywell, they are still pretty bad. In view of this shooting on Tuesday will be at Carlsberg.

NCAS 1ST CASWELL VENUE CHANGE

Due to a waterlogged ground, the venue for the 1st Caswell Shoot on 6th May has been moved from Kettering Cricket Club to Wellingborough Open Archery Clubs’s outdoor range at Wrenn School, Doddington Road, Wellingborough NN8 2JJ.

Assembly time remains the same at 9:15 am.

Weather hits shooting at Sywell again

Ground conditions at Sywell will not be any better for this Saturday 5th May. Carlsberg has said we can use the hall this Saturday 10:00-13:45 but we have to be out by 14:00 as they have a function setting up.

Tuesday’s shooting adjourned to Carlsberg

Due to the continual bad weather and subsequent ground conditions, archery scheduled to be held at Sywell this Tuesday 1st May, will now be held at Carlsberg indoors – usual times.

Sywell is Waterlooged – Saturday cancelled – but back on Tuesday (hopefully)

The conditions at Sywell are absolutely atrocious due to the persistent rain. The car park and area round the container are waterlogged and the field as you can imagine is worse. The decision has therefore been made to abandon archery tomorrow (Saturday 28th April). Subject to conditions improving outdoor shooting on Tuesday evenings starts at Sywell on Tuesday 1st May at around 5.30pm to dusk. We will keep you posted of any changes.

The collection of Sponsor money from the Shootathon will be finalised next Saturday 5th May
